Simple Password Leads to Massive Supply Chain Attack

Software used by I.T. departments at government agencies and large organizations was compromised and used to launch attacks against these organizations. Hackers had access to the very software their I.T. departments would use to manage assets and distribute software across the entire organization. They didn’t just have admin or root level access to these companies; they had GOD level access.

The root cause? The software company was found to have used an extremely weak password. Their name followed by simply 123.
